Crumbl Cookie Recipe

Description

This Crumbl Cookie Recipe is the ultimate copycat version of the famous bakery cookies! Thick, soft, and loaded with gooey chocolate chips, these homemade cookies deliver bakery-style indulgence right from your kitchen—without the long lines or hefty price tag.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 cups Guittard milk chocolate chips (or any high-quality milk chocolate chips)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips, saving a few to press on top after baking.
  7. Scoop large dough balls (about 3.25 oz each). Break each in half and press the halves back together with the craggly side up for that signature look.
  8. Bake for 10–15 minutes or until the edges are golden and the centers look slightly underbaked.
  9. Press extra chocolate chips on top immediately after baking for a bakery-style finish.
  10. Cool on the baking sheet for 20 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Cornstarch is the secret to a soft, thick texture. Don’t skip it!
  • For extra gooey cookies, underbake slightly and let them set on the baking sheet.
  • Swap Guittard chocolate chips with any premium chocolate chips if needed.
  • Freeze dough balls for later and bake straight from frozen—just add a few extra minutes.
  • Customize with peanut butter chips, candy pieces, or seasonal flavors for variety.
