  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Description

This Oreo Dirt Cake is a no-bake, layered dessert made with crushed Oreo cookies, creamy pudding, and a rich cream cheese mixture. It’s a crowd-pleaser at family gatherings, potlucks, and parties! Customize it with fun decorations like gummy worms or candy flowers for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies (crushed)
  • 2 packages (3.4 oz each) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz Cool Whip (whipped topping)
  • Gummy worms (optional, for decoration)

Instructions

  • Crush Oreos: Use a food processor for fine crumbs or a rolling pin for chunkier pieces. Set aside.
  • Prepare Pudding: In a large bowl, whisk together instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
  • Make Cream Cheese Mixture: In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Combine Mixtures: Gently fold the pudding mixture into the cream cheese mixture until well blended. Then, fold in Cool Whip until light and fluffy.
  • Layer the Dirt Cake: In a trifle dish or serving pan, spread a layer of crushed Oreos at the bottom. Add a layer of the pudding mixture. Repeat until all ingredients are used, finishing with Oreo crumbs on top.
  • Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight for best results).
  • Decorate & Serve: Add gummy worms or candy decorations before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For a chocolate version, swap vanilla pudding with chocolate pudding mix.
  • To make it dairy-free, use dairy-free pudding mix, almond milk, and coconut whipped topping.
  • For individual servings, layer in mini cups or small mason jars.
  • Best when chilled overnight, as the flavors meld together beautifully.
